Tasting notes
Score 85+/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2019

The 2018 Andron Blanquet is hard to taste. There is good up-front intensity in the fruit, but aromatics are not precise and the wine tapers off quickly, leading to a dry, austere finish. To be fair, the wine was racked two weeks before this tasting, although the period right around en primeur would seem to be a less than ideal time to rack. The blend is 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 28% Merlot, which is to say more Franc and less Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon than normal. Yields are down 50% because of mildew.
