From two parcels planted respectively in 1965 and 1975 (on SO4 rootstock, so frequently millerandé and with very small grapes). Mid intensity on the nose. Correct and with some energy. Middle of the road, but then it’s a middle-of-the-road price. (JR)

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Vide Bourse has a strict, lime flower and flint-scented bouquet that just needs to develop more vigor in the glass. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry with a fine line of acidity, just a light touch of rosewater behind the citrus fruit with a dab of spice on the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.
