Tasting notes
(from the property next to the winery, north of St. Helena; aged in 40% new oak): Good red-ruby. Plum, redcurrant and nutty oak aromas are lifted by a spicy topnote. Offers good intensity and a creamy texture to its red berry and mint flavors. Finishes with serious but ripe tannins. These vines were planted in 1989.

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Label is quite pretty. Savory herbs, cinnamon, smoke, licorice and plum meld together nicely in the glass. There are no hard edges in this supple, inviting Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years.
