More cherries, spice, jammy strawberries and earth are present in the 2014 Zinfandel Zampatti Vineyard (15.5% alcohol). From a tiny 2.5-acre parcel planted in 1915, this is another juicy, lush Zinfandel that is full-bodied, pure, ripe and ideal for drinking over the next 5-6 years.
The 2014 Zinfandel Zampatti Vineyard is wonderfully layered and savory, with expressive aromatics, bold, punchy and bright, salivating acidity. Pomegranate, cranberry, sweet spices, sage, lavender and mint are some of the signatures. The Zampatti is most accurately described as a field blend. Chasselas, Palomini and Petite Sirah are some of the varieties that are interplanted with the Zinfandel. It is that very mosaic of varieties that gives the wine much of its personality. This is one of the highlights in the Turley range.
