Score 93-95/100 · Drink 2029-2045, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Nov 2025

The 2023 Spätburgunder Schlossberg GG is deep, intense and elegant on the charming and quite open nose that reveals red cherry as well as floral aromas reminiscent of roses intertwined with deep terroir and saline notes. The wine is lush and sensual on the palate, silky, finely structured and very charming, and it has an intense and aromatic, concentrated, persistently tight and saline finish. It's impressive in all its sensuality. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in December 2025.

Fleshy, concentrated and silky, this beauty doesn’t want to let go. Medium- to full-bodied with incredible interplay of restrained richness, superfine tannins and incredible vibrancy. In the super-long finish there’s a blast of black cherry and blood orange fruit. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
