Score 93/100 · Drink 2023-2050, Neal Martin, Nov 2018

The 2015 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a floral bouquet of brambly red fruit infused with pressed flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with stringy tannins and good acidity but lacks a little complexity and energy toward the finish. That said, the wine improves over the course of 15 to 20 minutes, finally manifesting more delineation and terroir expression on the finish. My advice would be to cellar this Echézeaux for six or seven years. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
