Cask sample. Subtle stony nose that's very lightly smoky with some real depth. Good grip with a minerally note. Tastes as though it had a little bit of chalk dissolved in it. Within the context of current burgundy prices, this is QGV . (JR)

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a cool as a cucumber nose, Zen-like, opening reluctantly to reveal scents of wet limestone, flint and a touch of chalk. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, harmonious and focused with orange zest towards the effervescent finish that lingers in the mouth. One of Chavy’s best offerings this year - excellent.
