2014 Nine Suns Cabernet Sauvignon Houyi Vineyard

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, powerful wine. Blackberry, gravel, spice, licorice, incense and torrefaction notes abound. The 2014 has reached its plateau of maturity. This intense, heavily extracted wine is now fraying at the edges. It is at once overripe and underripe, with a level of aggressiveness in its contours that has never resolved. Any remaining bottles should be consumed. Sadly, Nine Suns never truly lived up to its potential.
