75% Aragonez, 25% Castelão from Portalegre. Pale orangey pink. Very pretty red fruits, with a gentle and inviting creamy overlay. More powerful on the palate than the aroma suggested. Deep, scented and lightly chewy but not tannic. Rounded in the mouth and relatively full-bodied. Dry and likely to be food friendly though it could also be drunk on its own. Good length. A wine that builds in the mouth with real presence on the finish. (JH)
