Tasting notes
Bright, dark red. Delicate aromas of red cherry and mint lifted by a stony nuance. Brisk and tightly wound, with red berry and spice flavors accented by pepper and herbs. A bit lean for this cuvée but with a lovely light touch. I find this less dark in its fruit quality than the village offering.

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Combottes has a fragrant and floral bouquet with rose petals infusing the red cherry and raspberry fruit, a little introspective perhaps, but well defined. The palate is candied on the entry, an effervescent Combottes, although for me it just lacks the complexity of the other premier crus on the slightly monochromatic finish.
