Five-day cold soak. 100% destemmed. Aged for 10 months in 35% new French oak. Smells of sweet cherry, raspberry and a hint of sweet oak. Bright and juicy flavours of raspberry and red-cherry pastilles are mouth-watering thanks to excellent acidity. Lightly grippy, fine-grained tannins coat the mouth, as hints of citrus peel and flowers linger in the long finish. A beautifully crafted wine with excellent balance and a joyful expression of fruit. Glistening scarlet. Ripe red berries, incense and baking spices on the expansive nose, along with building mineral and floral notes. Juicy and concentrated on the palate, offering appealingly sweet raspberry and cherry preserve, rose pastille and allspice flavors that show fine definition and back-end cut. Powerful but lithe as well, finishing on a subtly tannic note, with sharp clarity and spicy persistence. 35% new French oak.
