Score 89/100 · Drink 2022-2024, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2022
There are more lifted aromas in the 2019 Pinot Noir Escolle Road Vineyard, with medicinal herbs of menthol and ripe strawberry. The palate is medium-bodied and more energetic, with note of turned earth and raspberry. Drink over the next several years.

Deep, shimmering garnet. Mineral- and spice-accented black raspberry, cherry-cola and potpourri aromas are complemented by a smoky nuance and a hint of mocha. Concentrated yet energetic as well, offering palate-staining red and blue fruit, lavender pastille and spicecake flavors that are braced by a spine of smoky minerality. Finishes very long and precise, with repeating red berry and floral notes and slowly building tannins.
