Sweet, spicy black berry fruits are found in the nose of the medium-bodied 2003 Pinot Noir Carter Vineyard. Broad, pretty, and sensual, this wine is filled with delightful red as well as black cherries whose flavors linger well into its extensive finish. Drink this silky wine over the next 6 years. www.kenwrightcellars.com; tel. (800) 571-6825

Deep, brooding red. Rich and earthy on the nose, with notes of cherry, tobacco and loam. Thick in texture and powerful, with flavors of cherry, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. The dense, strong finish emphasizes the wine's coffee and chocolate notes. This has plenty of poise for a pinot of such power.
