Tasting notes
The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Pinot Noir Spirithouse has demure blackberry aromas. On the palate, this medium to full-bodied, rich, highly concentrated wine is bright, exceedingly well-focused, and loaded with layers of cassis, black cherries, and raspberries. It is an outstanding wine, dominated by its luscious fruit and possessing the requisite structure and balance for aging. Projected maturity: 2004-2011. Tel. (503) 538-8520

Medium cherry-red. Red cherry, raspberry, spearmint and spicy oak on the bright nose. Juicy red berry and spice flavors with an underlying herbal aspect. Not a fleshy wine but offers nice sweetness and verve. Finishes firmly tannic and lively, with a faint greenness.
