Good deep red. Nose initially rather sullen and dominated by bourbony oak scents; showed some brooding but sappy notes of blackberry, raspberry and vanilla as it opened in the glass. Large-scaled and expansive, with sweet, deep red berry flavors and a velvety texture. Really fills the mouth with sweet, layered fruit. Finishes with even tannins and excellent persistence.
