Score 93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Highly nuanced nose of soft citrus fruits and peach complicated by notes of smoke, lees, butterscotch and fresh herbs. Big, rich and layered; smooth and deep. Verges on thick yet shows uncanny clarity of flavor. The smoky, oaky finish goes on and on. The yield here was reportedly under one ton per acre, and it shows. Has the structure and character of a top white Burgundy.
