Tasting notes
The 1999 Zinfandel Vineyard 101 (78 cases, 15.4% alcohol) is akin to drinking blackberry liqueur with subtle pepper and soil notes in the background. Exceptionally full-bodied and lavishly concentrated, it will drink well for a decade. Tel. (707) 963-0940

Bright medium ruby. Briary black berries and raspberry syrup on the nose. Then rather aggressive and muscular in the mouth, with its sweetness compromised by powerful tannic structure. A distinctly tough zinfandel: I would have picked this blind as petite sirah.
