2013 Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru

Dark, saturated red. Very ripe nose, like the 2014, conveying an almost Maury-like liquoreux aspect. Plush, ripe and superconcentrated; more about power than finesse. This is round and fat like the 2014 but with a bit more medicinal reserve. Really resounds on the classically dry, slightly reduced finish. I suspect some tasters will rate this higher than I did.
