Tasting notes
From bought-in fruit of 50-year-old vines which Sylvain tries to keep as cheap as possible. Foudre. Light crimson. Very juicy and a very appealing price! Light and super-fresh and energetic. But quite delicate. Lovely for the short term. (JR)

70% whole bunch. Cask sample. Dark-mid ruby. Dark raspberry fruit, blackcurrant too. Supple, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity. Quite profound. (MH)
The 2023 Marsannay Clemengeots is also quite backward on the nose despite rigorous swirling, less forthcoming than the previous vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. I really appreciate its balance and poise, and the neat integration of its 60% stems. This is one of the most elegant cuvées on the finish, hence my score.
