Score 88-90/100 · William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019
The 2017 Volnay Village exhibits a pretty bouquet of sweet berries, orange rind, candied peel and raw cocoa, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and satiny palate that's pure and elegant, framed by delicate tannins and tangy acids. It's a classy Volnay that incorporates some premier cru fruit.

The 2017 Volnay Village comes from two parcels including declassified Premier Cru Les Lurets. It has a lively, vivacious bouquet of mineral-rich red berry fruit with touches of clove and iodine. The precise palate is medium-bodied with fine tension, and the finish is edgy, focused and energetic. Excellent.
