2019 Bruno Lorenzon Mercurey Pièce 13 1er Cru

The 2019 Mercurey 1er Cru Pièce 13 is even better than the brilliant 2018. Unwinding in the glass with a deep bouquet of wild berries and plums, complemented by notions of blood orange, exotic spices and violets, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with exquisitely refined tannins, lively acids and a long, perfumed finish. As ever, this cuvée combines Lorenzon's finest old-vine holdings with more recent plantings at an ultra-high density of 20,000 vines per hectare.
