Tasting notes
Pale verging on medium ruby. Pure cherry fruit on the nose. Firm tannin and fresh acidity. Not quite as vibrant in fruit as the Vespidae 2022 – darker and more savoury. (SCJ)

A jeweled ruby/magenta color, the 2022 Pinot Noir St. Dolores Estate is very pretty on the nose, with fresh black raspberries, mossy earth, sweet herbs, and preserved flowers. The palate offers a savory, sanguine note, with ripe tannins, electric energy, and a long, salty finish. It’s going to drink well 2026-2040.
The 2022 Pinot Noir St. Dolores Estate is intense with a whiff of dried flowers, spiced citrus and crushed stones. Pure elegance, it's soothingly round and silken in feel, with depths of ripe red and blue fruits elevated by a core of juicy acidity. A complex web of fine-grained tannins remains, adding youthful poise as a saturation of blackberry and sage resonates on and on. Simply stunning. The St. Dolores Estate aged without any new oak.
