2006 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin Estournelles Saint-Jacques 1er Cru

Bright ruby-red. Highly perfumed, musky aromas of blackberry and violet. The sweetest 2006 by far to this point, with good chewy depth to its dark fruit and floral flavors. This fat wine finishes with plenty of ripe tannins and very good length but also shows the balance to give early pleasure.
