Good full red-ruby. Expressive red fruit and mineral aromas. Fat, thick and sweet, with red fruit, black cherry, licorice and spice flavors. Very tactile, approachable zinfandel, finishing with sweet tannins and sneaky length.

Deep red-ruby. Aromas of raspberry syrup, cracked pepper and fruit cake. Sweet, sappy and lush, offering lovely red fruit and spice flavors. A soft, approachable zinfandel that finishes with sweet tannins. Excellent value. (ST)
Several hundred cases were produced of the 2002 Zinfandel Estate (16.4% alcohol). Made from cuttings taken from the Hayne Vineyard, it represents the youngest vines of the Turley single vineyard offerings. It comes from the vineyard adjacent to the winery, and what will ultimately be a new AVA (Calistoga) when approved by the government. This full-bodied offering reveals notes of kirsch liqueur, melted licorice, black raspberries, and notions of pepper, beet roots, and underbrush.
