Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2011

(blended with 11% petit verdot and 5% cabernet franc): Bright medium ruby. Black raspberry, mocha and a whiff of mint on the nose; could use a bit more lift. A chewy, moderately fruity midweight with black raspberry, mineral and lead pencil flavors cut off by slightly tough tannins. I wanted more verve.

Score 88/100 · Drink 2010-2020, Robert Parker, Dec 2010

The deep ruby/purple-hued 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a sweet bouquet of black currants, licorice and subtle barbecue smoke in the background. Medium to full-bodied with good density, ripeness and purity, it lacks complexity and nuance, but it is a solidly made Cabernet to drink over the next decade. Tel. (707) 963-5190; Fax (707) 963-3711
