Score 94/100 · Drink 2014-2029, Robert Parker, Apr 2014

A classy, elegant bouquet of spring flowers, blue and dark red fruits jumps from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored 2004. Composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot, it was aged 19 months in 75% new French oak. Sweet, round and complex with good delineation and vibrancy, this is a terrific example of mountain viticulture. Complex yet authoritative, elegant yet rich and powerful, with excellent balance, it should be consumed over the next 10-15+ years. Tel. (707) 942-6668

Soft and supple, with wild berry and black currant flavours. Hints of forest floor, cocoa and oak spice poke through. Silky and delicious now. (LM) $75
