100% Gamay. Glowing, dark garnet. Good, punchy fruit with a real beginning, middle and end and the promise of future development, though the warmth of 2020 shines through. Not the most refreshing, but nor is it remotely thin. (JR)

Mid crimson. That lovely beaujolais combination of dark-red fruit and rocky/mineral savour. Rich, deep fruit, first wine of the day and great intensity and some fruit sweetness. More concentrated than stereotypical Fleurie. Long too. Very smooth tannins. GV (JH)
Vivid ruby. Spice-accented red and dark berries on the perfumed nose, along with smoky mineral and floral accents. Sappy, penetrating raspberry and boysenberry flavors show fine definition and spicy cut. In a concentrated yet lively style, finishing long and gently sweet, with a repeating berry note and polished tannins adding gentle grip.
Wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, rose petals and sweet spices, the 2020 Fleurie is medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with a fleshy core of fruit, fine tannins and succulent acids, concluding with a perfumed finish. After the ethereal, classically proportioned 2019, the 2020 represents a return to the richer register that followers of this estate will remember from recent vintages, such as 2018, 2017 and 2015.
