The 2023 Chardonnay Watson Ranch comes from vines planted in 1993, and grapes were harvested October 12. Matured for 10 months in used French oak, it has pure aromas of poached pears, orange blossoms, beeswax and freshly baked bread. The light-bodied palate has a silky texture and highly concentrated flavors, despite its weightless feel. It’s enlivened by vibrant acidity and has a long, perfumed finish.

The 2023 Chardonnay Watson Ranch is a classy, elegant wine. The cool, late-ripening vintage yielded an especially savory, earthy Chardonnay with fruit pushed more into the background. Dried pear, sage, mint, chamomile and bracing mineral notes build in the glass. Silky contours wrap it all together.
