The 2014 Pinot Noir is a wine that I found perplexing when I tasted it at the winery and so another bottle was poured on my return. You know, it still displays that slight foxiness that I commented upon in my last note that slightly detracts from the clarity of the fruit. The palate is nicely balanced with sappy red fruit, a fine line of acidity, hints of fresh mint and a splash of soy towards the slightly herbaceous finish. I just think there was a couple of lots that might not have reached full ripeness that found themselves in the blend. You can't win 'em all!
