Bright medium red. Pungent smoky mineral lift to the aromas and flavors of strawberry, raspberry and crushed rock. Very juicy, pure and intense but not yet expansive. In a distinctly backward, salty, mineral-driven style, with lovely floral lift and superb energy. This tightly wound, sharply delineated young premier cru reminded me of a top Chambolle like Amoureuses. The soil here is a blend of clay and limestone.
