The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Cor Leonis is deep and unctuous in the glass. Black cherry jam, crème de cassis, lavender, menthol and exotic spice all run through this rich, sumptuous wine. Silky tannins play off the wine's explosive personality nicely. The 2016 is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine.

A barrel sample, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Cor Leonis opens with exuberant black fruits, cassis, plums and black cherries with a beautiful violets and roses perfume plus a dried herbs and earthy undercurrent. The palate is full, rich and powerful with lovely black and blue fruits purity, velvety tannins and a long finish.
