Tasting notes
(25% new French oak; 15% of the wine went through malolactic fermentation): Pale gold. High-pitched aromas of fresh orange, pear skin, nectarine and white flowers, with a smoky mineral overtone. Lively and precise on the palate, offering concentrated, refreshingly bitter-edged citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Finishes with excellent clarity and thrust, leaving a sexy floral note behind.

Lightly oaky nose. Lively and wonderfully fresh with a dry, tangy intensity. Elegant and flavourful. Bone dry and just a little smoky on the finish. Definitely cool-climate elegance here but still full of flavour. (JH)
The 2013 Chardonnay M3 Vineyard starts off with notes of apricots, melons and pink grapefruit that are dotted with hints of toast, cashews, honey and cedar. There is an appealing elegance and freshness on the medium-bodied palate that has citrusy layers and a long finish.
Racy and lively and lots of green flavours. Just a bit awkward at the moment, MLF and tartness are the badges currently worn. (JR)
