There's a hint of menthol and an almost pyrazine character on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Amentet Vineyard Mount Veeder, but it's fleeting, replaced by cassis and tobacco. Like the Spring Mountain District release, the 90% new French oak has been soaked up by the fruit, leaving little obvious oak to mark this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Cabernet Franc. Medium to full-bodied, this may be consumed relatively young or aged for a decade or more, as it boasts ample concentration and plenty of ripe tannins.
