Tasting notes
Limpid magenta. Heady, mineral- and spice-accented aromas of fresh red and dark berries, cherry cola and pungent flowers are complemented by hints of blood orange and incense that build in the glass. Shows excellent definition and energetic lift in the mouth, offering powerful raspberry preserve, bitter cherry, spicecake and floral pastille flavors that steadily turn sweeter with air. Finishes with a refreshing snap of juicy acidity and velvety, even tannins, leaving succulent red berry liqueur and floral notes behind. 20% new oak.

Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir Louise opens with spicy touches of dried leaves, bay leaf, black tea, tangerine and lemon peel and forest floor over cranberry sauce and warm blackberries—very layered! Medium-bodied and silky in texture, it gives up intense, bitters-laced fruits with a finely grained frame, juicy acidity and a long, spicy finish.
