Tasting notes
Medium cherry-red. Moderately ripe aromas of red cherry, menthol, herbs and flowers. Supple but a bit diffuse, showing decent sweetness but in need of a bit more intensity and depth. Finishes with a broad dusting of tannins and modest length. I don't find the flavor definition shown by this producer's 2006s.

The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is a pretty wine laced with dried cherries, crushed flowers, licorice and spices. The wine's mid-weight structure and modest depth both suggest it is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.

Mid ruby with orange tinges. Quite dumb on the nose and not very expressive on the palate. There is richness but I miss the finesse. Perhaps it is yet to come? (WS)
