The 2019 The Big Game is savory and herbal in the best possible way, launching from the glass with musky black currants, charred wood and crushed stone. It floods the palate with silken textural waves of mineral-laced red and black fruits, gaining energy through a core of zesty acidity. Structured? Yes, but its tannins are round, sweet and lifted by a final note of citrus-tinged blackberries. The Big Game is a seriously fun blend of 67% Cabernet, 23% Syrah, 5% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot.
