Made with 50% Malbec from the Valle de Uco and 50% from Luján de Cuyo and aged in second-use French oak barrels for at least 12 months, this is a serious wine. Deep purple in color. The tightly bound nose contains notes of blood, black fruit, violets and hints of mint. Very lean on the palate, it is an easygoing but deeply flavorsome wine kept honest by the slightly spiky tannins. A classic wine with a newfound light touch.

Such impressive, pure blackberries and dark plums here with violets and gentle, leafy nuances, too. The round, rich fruit on the palate is really pristine and this offers much now, but more to come. Drink or hold.
Their top-selling 2018 Reserva Malbec now has a majority of grapes from the Valle de Uco, and they now only use second, third and fourth use barrels for the élevage, while in the past, there were 30% new barriques. It also has a more expressive nose of fresh fruit from the Valle de Uco. It has a touch of sweet spices intermixed with the black fruit and floral aromas, a commercial and approachable expression of the grape, with a medium-bodied palate and very fine tannins. An easy, approachable but serious textbook oak-aged Malbec in a very good and balanced year. They make 600,000 bottles of this.
