Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2024

From vines planted in 2001, the 2022 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Pommard Clone was fermented with destemmed grapes and matured in 28% new French oak. It has intoxicating, layered scents of pomegranate, blueberry, aniseed, tobacco and singular touches of juniper and sage. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with floral flavors. It has a finely chalky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a very long finish loaded with spice. It’s a great candidate for cellaring. 173 cases were made.

Score 97/100 · Drink 2026-2046, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2024

The 2022 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Pommard pours a jeweled ruby color and is aromatic of preserved red cherries, pristine spice, floral perfume, and a lot of clarity. It saturates the palate with ripe, vibrant energy and a long, long finish. It’s full of life but fully ripe and exceptionally balanced, with an angular feel. It is going to need another couple of years, but it’s wonderful. Drink 2026-2046.
