Tasting notes
The 2010 Mixed Blacks is another superb wine. Violets, menthol, licorice, plums, cassis, grilled herbs and blueberries all flesh out in the glass. The Mixed Blacks manages to be rich and deep yet also miraculously weightless, all with the support of energetic, vibrant veins of minerality. Simply put, this is a stunning showing. The tannins need a few years to soften, but when they do, this fabulous wine will be firing on all cylinders.

I was blown away by the three wines I tasted from Edge Hill, a historic property in St. Helena proprietor Leslie Rudd and his team are doing wonders with. Tel. (707) 944-8577
