Good full, bright red. Raspberry, strawberry, baking spices, menthol and earth on the nose. Sweet and sappy in the mouth, with flavors of strawberry, bitter cherry, black raspberry and underbrush nicely shaped by firm acids. Nicely concentrated pinot with modest flavor definition. Finishes with a slight dry edge but plenty of sweet fruit. Also tasted: 2000 Merry Edwards Pinot Noir Windsor Garden Russian River Valley.

Bright medium red. Slightly roasted aromas of ripe raspberry, coffee and woodsmoke. Silky and juicy, with enticing pinot fruit flavors and good verve. Finishes with lingering, varietally accurate fruit.
