Tasting notes
Pale, bright lemon-yellow color. Exotic aromas of apricot, honey, spices and marzipan. Rich, broad and concentrated, with the exotic spice and marzipan notes adding interest to the wine's fruit salad flavors. This classically dry viognier finishes with a flavor of grilled peach.

It is not easy to fashion Viognier into a complex wine, but Ehren Jordan has handled this fickle varietal beautifully. His 2005 Viognier Alban Vineyard boasts notes of quince, crushed rocks, white flowers, and exotic tropical fruits in its well-defined aromatics. Dry, medium-bodied, and intensely fruity, this fresh, character-filled white can be enjoyed over the next 1-2 years as it is atypically complex for a California Viognier.
