Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Grace Vineyard is drinking beautifully straight from the bottle. It has pure aromas of wild berries, Earl Grey tea leaves, aniseed and woodsmoke. Medium-bodied and seamlessly structured, the palate is packed with perfumed fruit enlivened by fresh acidity, and it has a very long, spicy finish.

Vivid ruby. An expansive, complex bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruit preserves, pungent flowers and exotic spices, along with hints of cola and vanilla. Deeply concentrated yet energetic as well, offering palate-coating cherry cola, black raspberry and boysenberry flavors and building lavender and star anise notes. The berry and floral notes echo on the strikingly persistent finish, which features steadily building tannins and a touch of smokiness.
Attractive spiced dark cherries and blueberries on offer here, as well as a violet-like, floral edge. Some cedary oak, too. The palate is a very plush, mouth-filling offering of ripe dark cherries and blueberries. The acidity sits so neatly and enlivens the layers of silky, long tannin. Great poise and definition here. Drink or hold.
