Tasting notes
The 2009 Chardonnay Côte Sud Vineyard is mature and savory, segueing from initial petrol tones to broader pastry, mushroom paste, toasted meringue and even tapenade. The full-bodied palate offers rich, powerful flavors that coat the mouth. It's balanced by fresh acidity and has a long, nuanced finish. This 15-year-old Chardonnay is in its prime and at its best over the next 3-5 years.

The 2009 Chardonnay Cote Sud displays a bit more acidity and a richer mid-palate than the Clos de Soleil but is otherwise very similar. Domaine Serene’s Chardonnays are outstanding and fairly priced for what they deliver. They are all made entirely from Dijon clones, barrel-fermented, and aged on the lees. Tel.
