Score 88/100 · Drink 2011-2017, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2009

The 2007 Pinot Noir Looney Vineyard offers greater aromatic complexity. It reveals a cool growing season bouquet of spice box and floral notes followed by a still tightly wound, tannic wine with cherry and raspberry flavors and 1-2 years of aging potential. The wine’s balance suggests that the additional time in the bottle will result in better integration. Drink it from 2011 to 2017. Archery Summit is best known for its vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs. However, the winery produces a small quantity of one of the finest Pinot Gris’ of the Willamette. Anna Matzinger, Archery Summit’s winemaker, describes her 2007s as “nervy and vivacious”, a fair characterization. Valley. www.archerysummit.com
