Tasting notes
Yellow-gold. Exotic aromas of poached pear, smoky lees and iodine. Sappy, palate-coating orchard fruit and melon flavors are braced by gentle minerality and dried flowers. The smoky note repeats on the broad, persistent finish.

The 2007 Chardonnay Stone Cote is a limited cuvee of 740 cases that comes from a specific block in the Sonoma Coast’s Durell Vineyard. White peach, honeysuckle, unbuttered popcorn, and hints of tropical fruit and wet stone-like aromas and flavors are present in this full-bodied white. Good intensity, uplifting acidity, and excellent minerality suggest this stunning Chardonnay should drink well for 4-6 years. After two challenging vintages for Zinfandel (2005 and 2006), 2007 offers considerable promise for a return to the beautiful ripe fruit and seductive power of Zinfandel.
