Tasting notes
The 2010 Pinot Noir Estate Indigene Clone 115 stands apart from the rest of the Melville Pinots in that it is the only wine made from 100% destemmed fruit. Layers of rich, dark cherries wrap around the palate as this juicy, expressive wine fleshes out in the glass. I especially admire the wine's juiciness and pure depth. In 2010 the Clone 115 is incredibly inviting and appealing. Readers will have a hard time delaying immediate gratification.

Longtime winemaker Greg Brewer has done a great job with these new releases. Although there are a number of highlights here, it is the Pinots that truly shine in 2010. I also tasted the 2010 Chardonnay Estate, but it was completely closed down and in no mood to be evaluated, so I will have to wait for another opportunity to get a better read. Tel.
