2017 Hudson Ranch Chardonnay Little Bit

Planted entirely to shot Wente clone selection, the Little Bit Vineyard is located on the Hudson home ranch part of the estate, between the Carneros highway and the winery. This is a barrel selection fermented using all native yeast, aged for 24 months in barrel. The 2017 Chardonnay Little Bit is just a tad closed to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal the most gorgeous perfume of lime cordial, pink grapefruit, lemon meringue pie and orange blossoms with wafts of beeswax and toasted almonds. Full-bodied, rich and densely packed with citrus and savory layers, the palate has a racy line of freshness in perfect contrast to the beautiful, satiny texture and loads of mineral sparks coming through on the epically long finish. 165 cases made.
