Tasting notes
The 2016 Claret is soft, supple and easygoing but also lacking in mid-palate depth. It just tastes empty and devoid of depth or complexity.

The estate's 2016 Claret is the most voluptuous and overtly ripe of the four wines in this range. Inky and unctuous, the 2015 offers notable depth in its dark red cherry, plum and licorice flavors. The blend is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot.
The 2016 Claret Diamond Mtn is a very deep garnet-purple colored barrel sample blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot, featuring loads of black berries and black cherries notions on the nose with nuances of underbrush, wild thyme and tilled soil, plus a touch of iron ore. Full-bodied, the bright, expressive black fruit is structured by firm, grainy tannins and a lively acid line, finishing long and earthy.
