Tasting notes
Cassis, graphite, violets, crushed stone, and that classic Rutherford chocolate and dusty earth all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 24 months in 65% new French oak. It's full-bodied and has a dense, structured core that's going to warrant reasonable cellaring. Hide bottles for 4-6 years, and it will see its 30th birthday in fine form. It's clearly the finest wine from this estate to date. Drink 2031-2055.

Drought year picked 21 September at 26 Brix. Even ripening. Moderate temperatures: nothing over 105 °F during the season. Bottled in Feb 2024. Deep, glowing crimson. Strong Rutherford, local aroma. Powerful tannins and a bit of alcohol. (JR)
