Even better than the La Galopine, with more flower oil, honeysuckle, sautéed peach, brioche and that distinct minerality that's hard to find outside of the appellation, the 2014 Condrieu Clos Boucher is medium to full-bodied, gorgeously pure, elegant and seamless. This killer Condrieu is up there with the top wines in the appellation.

Pale gold. Powerful, mineral-laced orchard fruit and melon aromas are sharpened by notes of ginger and lemon zest. Concentrated pear, Meyer lemon and violet pastille flavors show a suave blend of richness and delicacy thanks to a core of juicy acidity and a dusty mineral nuance. Closes minerally and very long, leaving a sexy floral note behind.
Pale. Ripe and really rather sweet. Needs a bit more refreshment. Salty finish. (JR)
